Load engineering and safety

The right truck matters, but how the furniture is arranged inside it matters more

Providing a Dyna truck for your furniture is only the first step. The real difference between your furniture arriving intact or damaged lies in engineering the load inside the box: distributing the weight, fixing the center of gravity, and isolating delicate pieces with anti-vibration ratchet straps.

How do we arrange furniture inside the truck to prevent any movement or rubbing?

Loading isn't piling things up; it's a calculation of how the center of gravity is distributed. Select any zone in the diagram to see the type of items, how they're secured and the risk we prevent.

Main items in this zone:

  • Family-size refrigerators
  • Washing machines and dryers
  • Steel safes
  • Solid marble table bases
Why this position?

Concentrating the center of gravity at the front of the box and on its floor prevents the truck from swaying in fast turns and keeps the suspension and braking systems stable.

Real-world risk prevented:

Heavy appliances tipping over or sliding forward under sudden braking on highways (the Jubail–Dammam Highway).

Securing method:

Secured upright, flush against the cab wall, with two ratchet straps attached to the steel wall rails.

The Eastern Province climate

Why do we insist on closed box trucks only?

Moving in open trucks or half-covered Dyna trucks in the Eastern Province is a completely uncalculated risk. Here are the natural challenges a sealed box stands up to:

Keeping out blowing sand and desert dust

Eastern Province highways see sudden dust storms; a fully closed box keeps fine sand particles from working their way into majlis (sitting room) seating, AC units and TV screens.

Shielding from summer asphalt heat (above 50°C)

On summer afternoons, asphalt reaches scorching temperatures that affect wood finishes and sensitive appliances in open trucks; a closed box provides a shaded, protected environment.

Steel wall rails to secure each section of the load

The box walls are fitted with sturdy horizontal securing rails that let us tie down each group of furniture with its own ratchet strap, keeping it from sliding or rubbing against neighboring pieces under braking.

Preventing belongings from flying off and boxes from falling

Open trucks, or trucks covered with a loose tarp, leave furniture at risk of falling or being knocked about by the headwind; a closed box reduces that risk.

Selection criteria

How do we choose the right truck size and type for your home?

We don't send a random truck. We study the volume of your furniture carefully to provide the ideal one:

01

Furniture volume and number of rooms

Studio and one-bedroom apartments suit a mid-size Dyna truck in a single trip, while villas and large apartments need a Dyna truck with a tall jumbo box so the load doesn't have to be split up or squeezed in.

02

Street layout and residential parking

Some neighborhoods in Khobar and Dammam have narrow lanes or compound gates with height limits, so we pick a truck size that can reach the closest possible point to your door.

03

Priority: one complete trip

We always prefer to move a home's contents in one organized trip whenever possible, because multiple trips increase the chance of wear on the pieces and waste the customer's valuable time waiting.

04

Road distance between cities

Moves between Eastern Province cities (such as Jubail or Ras Tanura to Khobar and Dammam) call for closed trucks and doubled wall tie-downs to withstand highway speeds.

On-site loading sequence

The stages of stacking furniture in the truck, from the first piece to the last box

A calculated, step-by-step sequence that prevents random piling and ensures the highest level of balance:

01

Inspecting and preparing the box floor

We clean the box out completely, removing any nails or debris, and lay moving blankets over the floor so furniture bases don't get scratched during loading.

02

Loading heavy appliances at the front of the box

We secure refrigerators, washing machines and marble bases flush against the front wall of the box to set the center of gravity and keep the truck from swaying.

03

Standing wooden panels upright along the walls

We stack long bedroom and desk panels vertically along the side walls, separated by cotton moving blankets and strapped tight so they don't bow.

04

Placing majlis seating and sofas in the middle

We set upholstered sofas, wrapped in blue stretch film, on stable, level bases with no heavy weight on their seats, to protect the foam.

05

Building the pyramid-style wall of cardboard boxes

We stack the boxes in an interlocking pattern, like brickwork: heavy boxes at the bottom and lighter ones on top, so the wall holds together and doesn't collapse.

06

Securing delicate pieces and TV screens up top

We place TV screens and mirrors in their dedicated raised spots, check every ratchet strap, and close the box up tight.

Covering the Eastern Province road network

Fully ready for Eastern Province highways and intercity trips

Whether you're moving within the same neighborhood or traveling between the region's cities (Dammam, Khobar, Jubail, Dhahran, Saihat, Qatif, Safwa, Ras Tanura), our trucks and engineered tie-downs are set up for all highway conditions.

Practical, detailed answers

Frequently asked questions about moving trucks and loading

Clear answers about closed box specs, ratchet straps, and keeping furniture from sliding in transit.

It depends on the number of rooms and the amount of appliances and disassembled furniture. We choose a closed Dyna truck that holds the load comfortably and allows the pieces to be stacked without being forced on top of one another.
